Save your best matches and view them again whenever you want

Some matches are just to good to let go. Thats why we're introducing the My Favorites feature

CS2 demo racks up a lot of size, sometimes being in excess of 500Mb per demo. That's why even valve deletes demos from their servers after 30 days, and so do we.

After we have parsed a demo file, we usually got what we need from that file and no longer have any use for it. During the parse we extract all events needed to create statistics, perform analytical performance reports and create 2D Demo replays. However, we have chosen to keep demos for the same 30 day retention time that valve offers. This gives us the room to reparse them again if anything were to happen such as breaking updates to the game and so on.

However, some matches are just too good to let go. It might have been the play of a lifetime. Maybe its a match you want someone to review on a later date.

Thats why we created the posibility to add matches to your own personal "Playlists" called "My favorites". If you add a match to a favorite list, we will remove the tag that automatically deletes the 2D Demo Replay and demo file after 30 day. Meaning you can revisit you match whenever you like without worrying about storage on your own devices, or trying to keep track of which file belonged to which match.

You will now find a button in the match details page that allows you to either save the match to the default "Favorite" matches, or you can create your own collections.

For now this function is limited to the paid memberships, offering 25 saves for the basic membership and 100 saves for the premium membership.
